This year, National Science Week 2016 (13-21 August) is celebrating the theme of “Drones, Droids and Robots”. Naturally the Intelligent Robots Group will be involved!
Dr Raymond Sheh will be presenting three lectures throughout the week.
- Tuesday 16th August, 4.30pm-6.00pm: Free Public Lecture entitled “Intelligent Drones, Droids and Robots: The Artificial Intelligence Challenge”, Tim Winton Lecture Theatre. Please follow this link to register. For inquiries, please email events@curtin.edu.au.
- Wednesday 17th August, 11.00am-12.00am: Lecture at Acquinas College.
- Thursday 18th August, 10.00am-11.00am: Free Public Lecture at Curtin University Library (outside the Curtin Library’s Makerspace) as part of the “Brain Break Morning Tea”. Please visit this link to register.
Dr Sheh will also be a member of the expert panel at the Perth launch of the book, Robots and Art – Exploring an Unlikely Symbiosis, edited by Damith Herath and Curtin’s own Christian Kroos and Stelarc. This will take place at 4pm on Saturday the 13th of August at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Art, PICA Reading Room, 51 James St, Northbridge. See links above for details of this free event.
