The Intelligent Robots Group continues to support international efforts aimed at improving the ability of responders to address hazardous situations.
Dr. Raymond Sheh traveled to Florida for the Camp Blanding leg of the 2015 Raven’s Challenge, an event that tests the ability of bomb squads to address various hazards.
Dr. Sheh deployed various new tests for robot performance, including tests for sensing and manipulation. This work was carried out under an existing grant that the Intelligent Robots Group has received from the National Institute of Standards and Technology, US Department of Commerce.
