Robot Testing at the Virginia Beach Fire and Rescue Training Facility

The Intelligent Robots Group supported the recent Standard Test Methods for Response Robots testing event, held at the Virginia Beach Fire and Rescue Training Facility, in conjunction with the meeting of the newly-elevated ASTM E54.09 Committee on Homeland Security Applications: Response Robots. Personnel at the Intelligent Robots Group have a long-standing relationship with this committee, having been involved in its former incarnation, ASTM E54.08.01, for over 10 years.

Raymond Sheh of the Intelligent Robots Group traveled to Virginia Beach in support of this test event and focused on the Group’s area of expertise in tests of robotic perception.
