The Intelligent Robots Group traveled to Toronto, Canada in June 2017 to support the US National Institute of Standards and Technology in their dissemination of the DHS-NIST-ASTM International Standard Test Methods for Response Robots among the Canadian Explosive Ordnance Disposal community.
Dr Raymond Sheh of the Intelligent Robots Group was responsible for the suite of sensor tests across ground, aerial and underwater robots. This included demonstrating novel tests for thermal cameras on aerial drones and imaging sonars on small underwater vehicles.
